About Me
Architect Nuru Susan Nyerere-Inyange holds a BSc. (HONS) degree in Architectural studies, an MSc. in computer-aided building design, and a professional degree in architecture (Barch), all from Strathclyde University in the United Kingdom (UK). She is a chartered architect, a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), and is registered as an architect in the UK, Tanzania, and Nigeria (NIA Abuja Chapter).
She is the recipient of a prestigious award and silver medal for excellence in design (the first-ever woman recipient) by Strathclyde regional council (the largest in Europe). Her work has been published in the renowned building design journal in the UK and exhibited in the prestigious national headquarters of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
With over 25 years of extensive experience in practice in the UK, Nigeria, and Tanzania, Architect Nuhu serves as a project architect/project manager for planning, new build, and renovations on projects ranging from corporate, commercial, educational, institutional, residential, health centers, interior design, and sustainable architecture. She has a special interest in green architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture.
She has served on several boards, including as a founding board member of the Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Tanzania (AQRB) and the Public Procurement Appeals Authority of Tanzania (PPAA). She has a special interest in youth development and is involved in several youth group initiatives, including starting a center for street kids.
